LS7 injectors for my LS2

Default LS7 injectors for my LS2

I am a couple weeks away from having a cam installed, car is a 2006 LS2 vette M6.
I was talking with my tuner the other day and he reccomended I use LS7 injectors along with some top cap or something to allow them to fit with my stock fuel rail.

Seems to me that the 42lb'ers would lower the IDC % and also support a set of heads down the road.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I am expecting to hit around 450 rwhp with my cam only setup.

I'm at 85% idc with FMS 42 lb injectors at 599 rwhp, I would think they would be total overkill for you. At 60 psi of pressure the FMS 42's become 53.5 lb/hr injectors, they are rated 42 lb/hr at 39.15 psi, which most people don't know.

I would search for some FMS 30's and get the corresponding Greg Banish short pulse and voltage tables.

Or call fuel injectotion connection (Fic injectors) i think they are still a sponsor, got my 42s for $240 and they are real knowledgeable, they will set you up!

The ls7 injector is 42@58psi. At 43.5 it's a36. Not overkill, we have the adapter if you need

Bosch rates their injectors at 3bar (42.5psid), so the green top 42's are only 42lb/hr at that pressure. At Ford pressure (39.15psid) it's closer to 40lb/hr, and at GM pressure (4bar, 58psi) they're closer to 48lb/hr.

My tuner has a set of LS7 injectors with top spacers for $150 , I thought I would go ahead and do that if I was going to be at 90+ % IDC with my stockers.

Holy cow, the Great One has graced us with his presence Good to hear from you Mr. Banish, I don't doubt what you said. What you stated is what I had always heard, but then I downloaded a spec sheet from Ford which seemed to show different?

Seems like a good way to go, use all of the injector data tables from a Z06 and life should be good right?

I believe so...My tuner has all the tables and already said this was a piece of cake, better safe than sorry!

You're right. I was confusing them with the specs of the "blue giant 42's" that came on the 03-04 Cobra. Revised estimate below for the Green Tops:
