Ly6 question please help I have a ly6 vvt motor and I was able to put the new ls3 intake on the motor I am running also the ls3 drive by wire throttle body I purchase this throttle body and am waiting on it to come in will this clear my stock truck water pump or will I need a different style of water pump if so what part number
If you are trying to run the LS3 style intake you will need a car style water pump. The outlet on the truck water pump exits right where the throttle body needs to be for the car intake. What kind of vehicle is this going in?
I use the L76 style intake (which should be virtually identical to the LS3 except the MAP sensor fitting) and it fits just fine with the stock LY6 water pump and with the truck 87mm throttlebody, not sure about the car throttlebody though.
