Default ls-2 cam thoughts

hey folks i have a new ls-2 never fired. it has stock cam 500/500 lift, stock 243 heads 750 carb with gmpp intake. would like to go with a little bigger cam. comp spec this- xe-r lobe 228/230 588/592 111ls with there rpm kit and useing the stock rockers. i have been reading some posts, from what i have read these lobes seem to be hard on the valve train, plus i have read anything over 550 lift puts more scrub on valve stem and guides. with this motor being new and never fired can i just swap cam and springs and use the lifters in it? also comp said i should swap chain and gears, would the stock chain and gears that are in it be ok for the lift range that im looking at?
the cars a 5-speed, it will see street and some auto cross any thoughts on this package?

I would just get the trunion upgrade from comp or harland sharp. Anything over .650 lift I would get an after market roller rocker. You will have to upgrade springs and pushrods though. Those stock springs or pushrods wil not survive. The chain will be fine, but if its not in yet and you can swing it, id get the C5R timing chain from katech and never worry about it again. The gears will be fine as I have never heard of you failing here.

the motor is together, its a new crate motor would like to use as much of it as i can less springs/push rods. im thinking the lifters will be fine. has anyone swapped cams with out pulling the heads? whats the best way to get the lifters out of the way? this is my first time getting into one of these new gen motors.
