Yup. The marine engines are rated at less power. The ls3 marine power engine is rated I think at 410 hp while the crate ls3 fuely is 480 hp. couldn't tell you what the actual difference between the engines is though. Possibly camshaft.

As a general rule, marine engines tend to be designed for extended high rpm operation vs. engines designed for cars.

I was more worried about CCW or CW rotation, lower compression and such.

Found one or two on Ebay (new) but marine engines and wasn't sure what's what.

Marine engines are set up to run like an RV going uphill, mostly because they don't build momentum in the same way cars do. Typically this has to do with cams and Inconnel exhaust valves..
