My VA Speed LS3 427 update
I through 150 shot of nitrous through it because it was built for a 300 shot. Put down 700/800 through the same gears/stall. I never fully dialed it in because I quickly decided nitrous wasn't for me. With an unfinished tune it clicked off 9.98@137.5 in 3600 DA.
Fast forward 3-4 months. I decided I wanted to try to run the same time NA as I did on the 150 shot. I called up Shawn and swapped the FAST 92/stock TB for a FAST 102/NW102. I did some more tweaking, small weight reduction and more tweaking on the tune. With some help from FTI they gave me the perfect stall for my needs. I was able to click off a 10.02@132.91 all motor making my GTO the fastest all motor GTO in the country.
Fast forward 4 more months. The motor has about 11k miles on it now. Still does not burn oil or leak in any way. Drives just as smooth as my stock motor did with a mild cam. There is never a time I get into the car and think it's slow. It always pulls hard and moves like butter. I find myself rarely going past half throttle because it has so much power and torque that it just accelerates effortlessly within traffic. I actually feel like the car has gotten faster now that the motor has broken in some more. It's unreal how consistently fast the car feels.
I also wanted to say that I have a Performabuilt level 2 4L60E in the car. I've had it for about 3 years now. I've had it through my previous 416 and through the 5 months or so I had nitrous. It was also shifting the gears on that 9.98 pass and holding 800lbs of torque through the auto. I still have the same transmission.
I drive the car back and forth to work 1-2 times a week. With a rear tire change the car could easily be daily driven. I just can't bring myself to put that kind of mileage on a hobby car.
The intake I'm using is made by svede from the gto forums. That intake contributed a large part of my ET success. I also have the highest trapping all motor gto in the country.
Just wanted to tell my story to the masses. Thanks VA Speed, Performabuilt, FTI, and Svede. I'm building a house right now so I'm taking a break from the track. Look to see my goat gunning for 9s NA again around spring time.

Doesn't dyno as well with the bigger stall. It lost about 30 hp on the dyno. After the first of the year I'm going to make some changes. Just not 100% sure what I'm going to do yet.
On the loss of 30 hp just check spark plugs and ignition wires, for bad/old fuel and or fuel press drop at the top of the pass....if using E85 change oil....
I do know there are a few cars coming for your record this fall but I wont be one of them.
