Default Cam bearings walking ?

Anyone know why this happens ? And the solution ?

First it was the front bearing that walked. Then I replaced the bearings ( yes that's probably a bad move to start with ) and oil pressure disappeared after a few hundred miles and so far can see the two front bearings have moved.
Havent stripped any further yet.

No doubt I fucked up when fitting the new bearings. But either way there is an underlying problem ?

Or is the block just fucked ? LS2 block, 403 motor.

Default Cam bearings..

I can only guess but i don't think the problem is as bad as it first appear to you, but you need to nail this one, on your next try; so fist pull out the cam and the bearings that walked and any other bearing that may have appear to go in to ease, measure the bearing journal on the block, the next bearing to go in there must be 0.004 to 0.0065 larger in diameter, then you should be ok if the cam appear to go in fine with lubrication, after you had all these problems i would recommend instead of lubricating the bearing prior to install, put thread lock all around it instead. Be sure to line up all the lub holes on the bearings to the ones on the block, use high pressure grease on the cam journals prior to installation as wheel as on the cam lobes, GL

Not a common problem then.

So is my block fucked, or was this time around purely my bad installation ?

And why the walking of the original front bearing after me using the block for barely 3-4k ?

The rear most walked on my previous engine. New motor used a new block, but hindsight I wish I would have gotten them pinned.

Good good, more takers.

So info on pinning techniques would be handy. Is a single pin enough, or do they need two ?
