Default ls1 to ls3 cam sensor harness issue

After a few months of being down I got to fire my LS3 yesterday, but there is a small issue. It is throwing code PO342 low voltage to to cam sensor. I don't have a tach signal, and it take like 5-10 seconds of cranking to start.

I knew about switching the pin A and C on the Casper electronics cam/knock sensor wiring harness as a possible fix. I had my tuner switch the pins, and he says it starts better but it is still throwing the code.

So my question is could i have a bad cam sensor, do they go bad a lot? Has anyone else had this issue before? Is there anything else that should be looking at? Looking on some input for a fix because we can't tune the car till it is fixed.

Interested to know as well. Just fired my engine too but using the racetronix cam/knock sensor harness... same code. Actually it threw a PO342 Low Input and then decided to throw a PO343 High Input later that same day.
