Default Putting a ls6 in an 09 G8 GT

What do I need to make this happen? The reason I'm doing this is because I have a friend who's going to turn in he's G8 and said I can have the engine as long as I put another one in its place and in working order.

The reluctor on the crank is different between the two. They make a conversion box to put the 09 engine in a pre 2005 car, but not the other way around IIRC. You'ld have to pull the crank from the LS6 and swap wheels. Definately not worth it and a dick move as well.

Wow!

This is the reason our prices sky rocket, because of people like you, the rest of America (the honest worker and tax payer) has to suffer!

I hope the engine falls on your *** when you pull it out!

For one if you have to ask what it what it would take how would you have the knowledge to actually do it?

I'd say setting up a ls6 for the displacement on demand is gonna be the most difficult part

Wow. Such harsh language. Why would anyone put a LS6 in a G8 GT? Whatever reason, free country.

Like it says in the very first post, his buddy is getting rid of the car and is okay with swapping in a different engine before it goes.

I would swap in a lq9 before ls6... Or a 5.3.

Getting that to work is going to be another story.

So because he has a story and is active in the military... That makes it acceptable to rip someone else off?

Any way you dice it its messed up, tell yourself what you have to so you can sleep good at night.

Bro I am in the was in the armed services as well (SOCOM) for 7 years and now have been with one of our Govermnet Agency's for another 7.. I am guessing you are young by the typos in your post, unless you were raging out at the keyboard. You should not state you are in the armed services and then follow it up by vulgarity and threats. I can think of a few CORE VALUES that were instilled in you at basic that obviously must not have stuck.

Respect – Treat others as they should be treated.
Integrity – Do what's right, both legally and morally.
Honor – Live up to the Army Values

Calm down tough guy and don't get so worked up on the internet.

yeah I am pretty ashamed of this dude as a fellow servicmember myself and I highly doubt the ranger part.

its not that his buddy is getting rid of the car, its that the car is getting reposessed so him and his buddy figure they take all the good stuff off it replace it with **** and to hell with whoever else winds up with the car. and the reason you have to replace it is so he dont get sued from the bank if they show up to get it and theres no motor.

first of all that whole situation is your buddys problem and you are just looking for a way to get yourself a free engine off his misfortune, WTG.

your type belongs in the same groups that torch there car or arrange to have it stolen cause they cant afford to pay for it anymore.

get real and grow up, and you might **** your buddy over even more when if they relize that it was replaced with a older motor cause then it will drop the value and they are still going to come after him for the amount still owed after the sale.

plus I checked this guys profile out he is apparently a scam artist in more ways than one, looks like he put some heads up for sale on here and never sent them to the guy that paid him. his only selling trader rating is negative and he has PMs in his profile from the guy trying to get ahold of him,

but I guess getting on here and posting how to steal a engine is takes up to much time to respond to a guys pm about why hes gettin fucked over

starting to wonder if there is even a buddy at all and its his car that is about to get reposessed and just wants to yank the motor.

Besides it is illegal. You can install a newer motor in but not vice a versa. Look it up on the web. EPA rules. Guy bought what he thought was an LS-2 equiped 05 GTO. Turned out it had been replaced with a LS1 block with all the LS-2 accessories attached. Had it not been for one of our knowledgable members spotting the lifter valley plate difference he would have never known. He threatened to sue and the dealership took the car back sight unseen. Where is the integrity? If I knew that you were doing this I would report you and your buddies ***.
