MY LS3 Build/pics inside well my truck is getting tired 220,000 miles, so im ready to do away with the 5.3LS and step up to a 6.2LS, i want it to be pretty stock but with some upgrades, I have to use this as a daily driver and has to pull my race car and boat so i started from a used shortblock off Ebay and have gone from there.... and so far im about 4,800$ in to this build almost half what a crate engine cost::: And yes i had to paint it!!!!
6.2ls block w/stock bore and just polished the crank std.std.

new LS3 heads w/hollow valves.. just polished the combustion chambers
stock 2010 camaro ss camshaft and rocker assy, from slp
comp cams single bolt double roller chain
new ls lifters
new L92 intake assy w injectors
all of the external components i got from a 4.8ltr that had a cracked block, i gave $100 bucks for the entire engine
before installing a new PerformaBuilt Level2 trans will be purchased..

Well, I basically just got the shortblock used and the pistons didn't look so hot so one thing leads to another and here is the result...I need this to be reliable and sturdy enough for the nitrous kit I'm gonna put on it!!! Just in case a Lightning pulls up beside me..
