Default Help on LS2 build!

I have a bare LS2 that I will begin building shortly. I would like to get the main parts spec'd out before I start. I'm new to LS2's and this will be my first engine build. Here are the parts I was thinking

Wiseco pistons at stock bore (65cc)

Carrillo connecting rods at 6.125" with 4" stroke

Trick Flow 235 heads (or should I go with LS3 heads?)

Lunati High RPM pushrods and roller rockers.

Thats what I have come up with so far but I still need to figure out what crankshaft. I would like to stroke it to 4" but there are many choices out there, can anyone recommend me a good crank?

I was also thinking of the Texas Speed 228R cam, any other suggestions?
School me please...

What are you building the motor mainly for?

Depending on its intended use there are a lot of variables that could be changed

It will be a street driven motor with occasional track use (not drag strip). Its going into my 98 M3 and will be a weekend driver but may do some DD. I dont mind a harsh ride (choppy cams, etc.) although I would like to put down at least 500whp.

I'm doing the callies crank and rods with Wiseco pistons. If you are stuck on TFS heads, the 235's would work great, but even the 225's would be great. Rockers, either stock or YT's, more ppl run one of those 2 choices by far. You will want to choice the heads and the pistons at the same time. The TFS only come in 70cc chambers and shouldn't be milled much past 65-64 or so. What is your desired compression?

I am open for any suggestions on the heads. I'm not sure what the stock compression is on these motors but I would like it to be a CR good for N/A application.

YT?

Yella Terra's.

Stock is around 11 to 1. On a 93 tune, 11.3-11.5 is pretty safe. I'm going to running at 11.6-11.7 but I'm choosing my parts and setup accordingly.

Ah ok well I would like to keep it around 11-11.5 then. None of the parts have been bought yet so anything can change.

So I would need to match the chambers on the head to the pistons then. So if I had a 70cc piston and the same on the head how would that effect CR.

EDIT: Nvm, I found a CR calculator. So If I went with wisecos -8cc dome matched to a 65cc chamber I would come out at 11.2:1. Matched to a 70cc chamber it would be around 10.5:1.

So I guess I've got the rods and pistons figured out now. Just need to figure out what crank and cylinder head to go with.

It will also depend on how much your pistons are out of the hole and your head gasket thickness.

Ok so would anyone like to recommend a nice setup for a street/track engine? Pistons, rods, crank, cams and heads.
