Default Still use Damper with Double roller chain?

I'm going with the SLP 55001 oil pump which clears double roller chains.

And planning on using the 55004 chain on my 2007 ls2, which would give me the 3 bolt conversion.

Does anyone know if I can still use the stock timing chain damper with the double roller chain or does it not fit, not effective?

Thank you!

Gday, I still use the black plastic damper as it helps to stop chain slap. I had to clearance the back of the oil inlet on my slp pump as the double chain touched it when it gained a bit of play.

Thats good to hear, any issues with noise from the double roller? Also if you use the damper, does that mean next time you want to swap cams you have to take out the oil pump as there may not be enough room for the cam gear to come off or is it not a problem to swap cams with double roller and damper in place.

There is no more noise from the double chain.
