Long blocks and complete engines will be quoted for each job because they can vary based on what's included, but roughly speaking around $15k for a long block and $18-20k for a complete engine.
what's the difference between the short/long block? just heads/cam?

Long block is a complete engine minus electronics, intake, and oil pan.
How much would an ARE dry sump setup be for this motor in an 06 gto? Would it require a different crankshaft. Thanks
We have not analyzed this combination. It should be looked at and possibly mocked up by a qualified engine builder. We designed this for LS3 heads.
You could use an ARE system that mounts the pump where the AC compressor was. A different crankshaft would not be required. Pan, tank, and pump should be about $3500.

I would expect it to hold up to occasional light HPDE use. I'm not sure what you are defining as higher rpm, but the engine has a suggested redline of 6800. If you were to maintain a lower redline it would also help prolong engine life.
