JP Racing/N Motion Double Roller TOO LONG
JP Racing/N Motion Double Roller TOO LONG I ordered the SDPC ls2 conversion kit for my new engine. The "JP Racing" Double Roller kit did not fit correctly. The chain was so long it was just hanging there. So I returned it.
I ordered an N Motion kit next from Byun Speed. Guess what? It's the same damn set. Same problem. WTF is up with these things?

This is the old, stock chain vs this new double.
Here is the old, stock ls6 chain sitting on the front of the this timing set. Perfect fit.
Any ideas? This BS has set me back 2 weeks already. I'm sick of it wasting my time.

I found an actual pic of it online verifying the 1x reluctor. We will just have to see on the length. It SHOULD NOT be a JP Racing chain.
I was hoping to find a shop with what I needed in stock so they could compare the length to a stock ls2 chain before shipping, but a 3-bolt, 1 pole, 24x reluctor, double chain is not super common. Only 2005 corvettes and a few other cars had them.

Yea. This shouldn't be a complicated deal imo. I'd have no concerns just running a stock ls2 chain in most cases. This setup will make 900rwhp+. I want something pretty strong.

Verdad Gallardo Well, I haven't install it yet, but it appears Comp Cams knows what size timing chain an ls1/2/6 motor uses. Not sure WTF this JP Performance out of Australia is up to. Both timing sets use a Rolon chain. The JP chain just had 2 extra links in it even though it is specified to work on a 2005 corvette just like this one.
The 2nd jp performance chain I bought from Colorado Speed. They handled it much better.

Not good! They need to do a quality check of those chains before a bunch of guys damage their motors.

Nobody in their right mind would put the cover on after installing that chain. It is beyond obvious that it's not going to work.
