New Truck Build Ideas Well know this isnt the truck site but this is where the experts are so please bear with me. I am planning on buying a new truck soon and want to have a built engine ready to go into it (tired of hot-rodding old worn out trucks)
My plan is to build a 4.8 for turbo and having it ready to drop in. ( I am partial to the 4.8s rod to stroke ratio and I havnt built one yet)
What would yall reccomend for the build as far as short block goes. I was thinking of using the wiesco forged pistons for the 5.3 but what do I do about the rods? I know they are a little longer than the others but havnt found a forged one in the same length. Or do I just need rod bolts.
I am only shooting for about 550hp
can anyone point me in the right direction any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks
