Hi everyone!
As some of the readers on here know, I have a LS3 engine in a Skyline for Drift Racing. And after a miss happening with the oil lines on the engine, I ended up with a damaged Camshaft, one damaged lifter, and damaged bearings in rod and mains on the crankshaft. But the rods, pistons and crankshaft and block has been inspected for damages, but non was found so that's good.

So my question is this, the cam that I have today is a TSP Torquer v2 and was working really good, and was giving me 450rwhp and 550rwnm on a ready nice and steady curve from 2000-6500rpm+.

The engine is a 6.2L LS3 with L92 heads, L76 intake and 93mm throttle body and LS7 injectors and pretty stock interior when in comes to lifters, rockers, valves, crank, rods and pistons.

The cams that are in question is:
TSP Torquer v2 112LSA and keeping the tune that I have
TSP LS3 231/236 .641"/615" 112LSA Camshaft and retuning the engine for $1000-1500 (Was recommended after a mail with TSP)
CompCam 231/247 .617"/.624 113LSA Camshaft and retuning the engine for $1000-1500 (Was recommended after a talk with CompCam about my use)

no matter what of these I choose, the following is being changed:
Lunati LS1 Retrofit High RPM Hydraulic Lifter Set
Precision Race Components .675" EHT Double Spring Kit
Harland Sharp LS3/L99/L76 Non-Adjustable Rocker Arm Package
Comp Cams Hi-Tech One-Piece Chromemoly pushrods (Order after length has been verified with new cam, lifters and rockers)
and of course all bearings, and gaskets and ARP bolts all the way around.

If anyone has comments on the parts or the which of the three cams to choose, please write back and explain.

 

Search here and don't do the HS rockers. Do YT's at the least or Jesel if you want to drop the $$$. Jesel may be in my future not sure yet????

 

I like the cam that Comp suggested for you but with a tad less duration to stick within your rpm guidelines. I would not run the Harland rockers(stability issues here), but have your stockers rebuilt by Harland. And as far as valve spring is concerned, the old Comp cams #26921-kit is still hard to beat for dependability and performance or just run what matches your particular camshafts lobes.

 

Why not try a very similar cam with better lobes, like a 231(.617" lsl lobes int.) / 234(.612 lxl lobes exh.) or a 238(.615" lxl lobes exh.).

I would run the TSP LS3 cam. Seen some good results from it and it is not too radical
