Default Ly6 timing marks

Sorry this is such a dumb question, but on the cam gear of a LY6 there are2 marks, one is small hole, the other is a arrow that points to a tooth. Which one of these is the actual timing mark?

The arrow points straight down at the mark on the crank gear which is a dot.

is there any significance to the hole? reason i ask is because i just did a cam swap and kept VVT, and it is giving me a code that the timing is over advanced and i cant figure out why. I lined the timing marks up correctly.

at first no, The first cam that comp sent me was the wrong one back in 09. And it never ran right, but i figured that out got the right one in yesterday, and it has the same problem. It idles and revs fine, but when you try to go down the road it goes into limp mode and throws a P0011 code (timing over advanced Bank 1). so i am stumped

Sounds like the phaser is locked in the full advance position. By " the right one" I assume you mean the new cam has the oil feed into the cam core on the second cam journal? Obviously the phaser will stay in the locked advanced position if it isn't getting any oil pressure. Just going over the basics.

I did not degree the cam, i just ined up the timing marks and went with it.

And by right one I mean the one that matches my phaser according to Comp.

Is it possible for the phaser limiter to be in wrong?

What phaser limiter did you use ? 3pedals is right something is not letting the cam move or it could be installed in the engine too far advanced. Are you using the original phaser? I think you will probably have to do some backtracking to figure it out. Do you have any software that will let you read cam position ? That would tell you a lot about what is going on with it. Did you have the same code with the first cam ?
