L33 4" stroker 3.789 bore
I am tying to build a cheap short block for good power and torqe up tp 6500, maybe 7000 rpm. I am limited to 362 ci, so a 3.9x4.0 is out of the question.
I can use a .010 over 5.3 bore(3.789or96.25mm) and a 4" crank, or a .060 over 3.84 piston with a 3.9" crank. or a 3.91" bore with a 3.75" crank.
my questions are:
where can I get a piston/rod combination to fit a 4" or 3.9" stroker crank in a 3.789" bore ore a 3.82" bore?
will a stock hieght piston with a 5.9 rod fit the 4" crank?
or a 6" rod and stock piston hieght with the 3.9 crank?
or where to get the stroker pistons for the smaller 5.3 +.010",.25mm, and +.060,1.5mm oversize bores?
or where to get a 3.75" stroker crank?
or where to get shorter rods for the stock piston hieght with stroker crank?
and also, how far can the L33 block be bored? is 3.91" doable?

thanks, I do see them on wiseco's site now, but couldn't find any at the vendors that sell them. I guess most people go ahead and bore them all the way out to ls1 sizes. I would do that, but I am trying to buid a 362ci engine that has a pretty long stroke and fairly short rods. I would like to be able to get like a 5.9 rod on a 3.9" stroke and a 3.84(.060 over). I want the shorter rods to pull harder on the intake for the restrictive 650cfm carb rule and 7000rpm limit. Maybe I should get some small bore dorton modular integtated deck liners and deck the block to a very short deck hieght, and drill and tap deeper head bolt holes to get a short deck LS1. has anyone done this already.

Sounds like a fun project either way, keep this thread updated with what you do.

No 4.000 cranks are cam cut for a rod that short so that would be custom deal. We have done the 4.000 / 3.780 though and its no problem plus you can also bore that 4.8/5.3 block to 3.900 usually if you want as well.
