Expert opinion needed on LS3 valves
I assume you mean 918 spring
unless the cam is very mild I would not use those springs. The valve is light but still alot of valve to control. I have been using the lunati dual kits and they are great for that valve with a wide varity of cams.

Thanks for the reply. In looking at the valves we were able to pull a manufacturer name off the stem. Looks like they are supplied by a division of Mahle that is located in Argentina. Yes these valves are very LIGHT, I weighed them at 89grams on the balancing scale at the machine shop I have my work done.
I'm thinking they will be OK with the medium sized Comp XFI profile I'm going to run, 226INT@0.589lift/238EXH@0.608lift. I have these same 918spings/tool steel retainer on a GENI small block with a solid flat tappet that revs heavier valves to over 7K RPMs.
