Default GTO LS2 upgrade options, help please!

We are running a Nissan S14A driftcar, powered by 2004 GTO LS2 engine. It has currently Sikky headers but otherwise its stock motor. Rpm limiter is at 6200. We are considering a head and cam package upgrade but need some suggestions. Clutch is uprated, tranny is manual T-56. We would like to lift the max rpm“s to 7000 and get some safe horses out of the engine.
Would like to hear some suggestions as we want to spend our money wisely. Oh, and next year we might be running a supercharger too.

Well first it really depends on your budget. You can spend 2k or you can spend 6k...

Also, if you're going with a blower later then you have to either hold off the upgrades till that or get them tailored for the specific boost to be added (which is going to hurt your gains currently).

Thanks for the answer, redtan!

Our head/cam budget is around 2-3k USD. I have been looking at those Precision Race packages. But I understand what you are saying about later adding a blower...
Do you guys happen to know proven blower bolt-on packages for this engine so we could maybe do the upgrade at once. I“ve been looking at some but really have no experience with blowers. Powercurves sure look nice and steady.
Also there“s the option of Vortech vs Eaton type...
We are looking for around 500whp.

Honestly, for 500rwhp with a blower you don't need much.

A good cam matched to your setup with some lightly ported/valvejob 317s will easily get you there.

A Maggie would be the root style type blower your talking about for the LS motor. (Eaton type blower) and it should get you to your HP wants
