My callies crank had this problem. I could not for the life of me figure out what was leaking...to be honest after visual inspection, it looked to be perfectly sealed..however whenever the car was on it would leak. I had to replace the plug and seal it up.

I think the Compstar products are forged in China and machined here in the USA. I don't trust anything made in China and wouldn't buy or run it. Callies Dragonslayer cranks and ultra rods are 100% forged and machined in the USA and that's what I would buy.

I have no experience with Callies or Eagle cranks, but my K1 4" crank was ready to go out of the box. Main journals were 0.0001" OOR, rod journals were up to 0.0003" OOR, and rise towards the end of the rod journals was limited to 0.0001".

Got an Eagle crank with Wiseco pistons in my car. No issues so far. But I have heard Callies is superior. At 600 flywheel horsepower, I think either will hold up well.

I am in the process of putting together a boosted LS3 and went with Compstar as well.
