Opinions on motor build?

I am starting out with a lq4 block, bought the motor, tore it down to find that 3 main bearings were spun, and three rod bearings. tons of sludge buildup.
have a front mount turbo set up also. plans are t56 also.
This is going in a weekend cruiser, bagged chop top s10.

What is some of your opinions on how I should build this motor set up?

have the block hot tanked and honed, then buy a 9.5 compression 402 crank kit and run it!

402/408 stroker kit with an ARP main stud kit is the way to go in my opinion. You will have a fully forged rotating assembly that will be able to handle some pretty good power.

John what does a 408 kit run from Texas Speed?
