Another 402 build
So somehow my engine decided to spin a main bearing which caused my entire block and pistons to be fried. I've decided to go with a 402 build. I bought the block and had it honed out to a 402 and now I'm deciding on parts for it. So far I have these parts ready and waiting to be installed:
NEW GM 6.0 ALUMINUM BLOCK
NEW JE PISTONS W/ 10:1 COMPRESSION
NEW CALLIES DRAGONSLAYER CRANKSHAFT 24X RELUCTOR
NEW CALLIES H BEAM CONEECTING RODS
ROTATING ASSEMBLY COMPUTER BALANCED
CUSTOM GROUND HYDRAULIC ROLLER CAM .615 .625 LIFT
MELLING HIGH VOLUME OIL PUMP
COMP CAMS BILLET ROLLER CHAIN
HARMONIC BALANCER AND FLEXPLATE
NEW LS3 ALUMINUM HEADS WITH HOLLOW STEM VALVES,
NEW SPRINGS TO MATCH CAMSHAFT
NEW GM ROLLER ROCKER ARMS
ARP HEAD BOLTS
GM LS3 INTAKE MANIFOLD
NEW GM 38LB INJECTORS
So how am I doing on the build so far? Thoughts/suggestions. I think it's gonna be pretty good but maybe some of you more experienced gear heads could give better advice.

Are you planning on making a ton of power with a power adder of some sort? The dragonslayer cranks are very nice, but also very expensive. A standard callies compstar will handle ~1000rwhp, you might be able to save some money on the build if you aren't going too crazy. Other then that the build looks fine to me.

I'd consider at least some 42 lb. injectors. They come standard in the ls3's. Don't skimp on the tune! A good tuner is priceless.

@TonyGXP - not panning on doing any head work right now but probably later on when I get the car running again.
@Che70velle - I was looking at some 42 lb. injectors but i wanted to save a little cash right now but I'll most likely bump it up to at least that once I'm back on the road and can save up and drop some cash on a set.
I'm glad to hear that I'm at least going in the right direction and not way off. Thanks guys.

Why such low compression? What octane gas can you get there?
The LS3 heads work best with the right cam. You showed the lift but the durations and intake valve events are really critical to making these heads work. Can you share the duration numbers?

Living in a country where you can drive on the unlimited Autobahn, I would take a long look at some quality valves and springs along with an oil cooler setup to keep that motor happy at extended high RPM running. You might also want to look into some Jesel or T&D shaft rocker arm assemblies. Make sure the oil pump is properly ported and don't run too thin of a motor oil 10/40. You may want to contact this business in Graz Austria as the guy seems to have a lot of LS motor experience Link http://www.coolchevy-raceparts.com/
