Pushrod Calculations
you must have edited one of your last posts cause your math is now wrong, but was correct originally.
If you have a 7.250 pushrod and .017 is still required under the valve to remove the slack then your math should be 7.250 + (.017 divided by 1.7) which equals 7.260. add your .60 preload and it gives you 7.320. So you will need 7.325 or 7.350 rods
the 1.58 number is for calculating pushrod movment when the valve is fixed. the 1.7 number is for calculating valve movement when the the trunion is fixed.
