Default Random crazy ideas

Well I'm about to buy a 06 GTO, and I've been saving up for some fun mods before I come home on leave. I've thought about trying to find some true LS6 valves, purchasing some GMPP ported LS2 heads, fly cut the pistons .080 int and ext., running COMP trunion upgrade, .030 cometic headgaskets, SDPC .650 lift beehive springs with ti retainers, gonna have to measure for the pushrods, ARP rod bolts, and getting it balanced. The compression would be right about 11.8:1. I'm curious to how much it would make and if it would be able to stand a blast to 7k RPM on occasion. I know its alot of work, but it is defiantly budget oriented. But any advice or ideas would be much appreciated.

EDIT: Also I was thinking about using either a megadeth cam or a magic twig 4. I live some what close to the RPM motor sports guys and a friend suggested I talk to them and get them to spec me out a cam

Its a 6spd, only has 58K miles and I will be the 2nd owner. I've been looking at either 3.91 or 4.11 gears. I'm not a fan of tru-tracs, haven't decided on what carrier I would want to run. I'm not good at spec'ing cams its a little beyond my expertise. Before the military I did heavy line work (rearends, t-cases, manual trans, and alot of engine work (IE: rebuilding heads and short blocks). But never really had a chance to build a performance engine. I'm not planning on this holding together for longer than 3 years. After its back up and running, I do plan on gathering parts and building a 400+ ci engine.

Do not run .030 gaskets, .040 minimum. You will run your quench too tight.

Do your homework; read till you decide what you need/want, not what internet wants you to have lol. Camshaft selection is really important...

Well I set up a spread sheet last night and looks like I will be better off to just holding off, researching more, and purchasing a short block with my tax return and just work on prepping the car (supporting mods) till that time comes around. Still want to see how far I can push stock shortblock components in an N/A setup. I swear if I had all the money in the weird my garage would constantly be busy with my "ideas".
