help with an ls2!

Default help with an ls2!

i have a few questions.

1....i have a ls2 that we are doing a ls3 head swap on.what head gaskets should i run? factory ls2 or a set of fel pros? i was planning on either running head studs or arp bolts.

2.... could i just use aftermarket fel pro gaskets and seals for the bottom end? because i can get them as a kit or should i go with factory gm?

3.... last, we have an aftermarket cam that we need to degree. what timing chains are you guys running to degree cams? will a factory chain work? or would i be best off with a double roller?

1.) Your choice, most people run stock gm gaskets
2.) See above
3.) Ls2 chain, or c5r chain. You dont need a special timing set to degree the cam.

I used the GM head gaskets and the GM LS2 timing chain.

do i need a special head gasket for the ls3 heads on the ls2 block? do you guys replace anything else when you change the chain?

I used the stock GM L92 head gaskets. I think they are identical to the LS3. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that.

The only other thing I replaced was the oil pump. I installed an L92 oil pump. I don't remember the part number on the oil pump, it's been about 4 years since I did the swap.
