Rebuild or pull another?
I have this 799 headed 5.3 out of a Yukon in my boat. Had a miss last season and chased new plugs, new crank sensor and coil packs. I pulled the motor out last weekend and today went to do a leak down. I suspected I'd be finding a burnt valve.
I believe this was caused by water reversion from the water cooled exhaust. When it happened I pulled the plug and the ground strap was touching the electrode. I bent it back out and ran it for the next 4 months of river season.
Everything else looks good.
I was planning on deleting the DOD and bought a turbo for this winters build. Should I get a rotating assembly and slap it together or just go pull another from the wrecker?
