I had tony port my AFR 205 s that I ran on my 02 z06. Before the heads I put down 431 rwhp. That's with cam, fast intake, ported nw TB, lg heads with cats, under drive pully and Vararam intake. Then I had his heads installed and put down 483-487 rwhp. Only change was heads and tune. Any time I put AFR heads on my car they will go through Tony first. He does great work. I'll see if I still have my dyno graphs uploaded on photobucket for you.

Yeah car was tuned. I thought I was done modding the car. Then I spoke to Tony and he said he could really wake the car up with a set of heads. I took the plunge and was really happy I did. Keep in mind these numbers are on 91 octane with cats.

Now keep in mind, I'm not saying that you will get those type of gains out of just bolting on heads. The heads were milled and ported. Also my ls6 heads weren't allowing me to take full advantage of my cam. So if the engine is stock and you just want to add ported heads you probably won't see much of a gain. I have also heard that you could lose some off the bottom do to the porting. Give Tony a call and get his take on it. He's always steered me in the right direction whether my pocket book and ears wanted to hear it or not. In some cases he has saved me money by talking me out of doing meaningless builds that wouldn't net much performance gain.

these heads are on my 408ci right now, i have talked to tony many many times about things and so forth, has always helped me, im just more or less seeing what people have gained for port work, i have to take the heads off to mill them so i wanted see if its worth having them ported as well, even if i gain 25rwhp/tq ill be happy, just dont want to gain 2 lol thats why i wanted to see what peoples outcomes where, i know everyone will have diff gains but i just wanted an idea

I hear ya. I just referbished my stock ls7 heads and was contenplating getting them milled and ported or just replacing guides and valves. In the end I milled and ported. So I know how you feel. I wish I had before and after results but due to my car pinging really bad before I never got a clean dyno pull done. Good luck.
