ls2/l92 problems
Ok so I have a 2005 gto a4. Car seems to have a really crazy misfire/hesitation around 2500-3500rpm while getting up to speed. Runs great at any other rpm other than 2500-3500. Engine is a stock ls2 block (25000 miles) with prc ported l92 heads milled .030''. Custom cam 232/237 647 617 on a 113+3, ported ls3 intake and tb. I have changed sparkplugs but not the msd wires. Problem is really crazy there are times when it wont happen at all and times while accelerating up to normal speed the car while have almost like a popping sound out of exhaust around 2500-3500rpm. Car is not throwing any codes. Car was originally tuned by Henderson Performance in new braunfels and made 450whp 400tq. Car drives great at any rpm other than the listed above rpm. Only other thing I have noticed is it dont like to start sometimes but was told "its because of the cam" not sure how true that is because i have heard there are tuners that can make even the biggest cams run great. Any input will be appreciated. I can also probably get a hp tuner log if needed.

My buddy had similar issue. Snap-on scanner would not pick up a missfire. Borrowed a tech 2 and found #3 coil weak and causing a misfire above 3000 rpms. Replaced the coil and his runs great again.

Hmm I will work on seeing if I can get ahold of a tech2. Makes sense because it feels like spark is braking up on 1 or more cylinders from 25-3k but really only noticeable on light accel from 2500-3500. You can't really even feel it just sort of hear a slight bobble in sound.
