Default Which LS Block for 600+ hp with boost?

I hope i posted this in the correct forum, my question is geared towards the engine internals more so than the forced induction kit or the swap but both are important variables. In a nutshell I’m looking for an engine that will put me at around 600rwhp but has the bottom end to handle a little over 1000rwhp reliably. I’m looking to put an ls engine into a Mazda rx7 and once the drivetrain is in and working properly my next step would be to twin turbo it. I don’t see myself pushing 1000hp but car modding can be addictive and the last thing id what is to build everything else up and then find out the hard way the engine was under built... Primary use would be weekend driving and occasionally the track initially. Does anyone run an engine similar to this or know of a shop that’s right down this alley? I’m leaning towards cast iron blocks. Some of the truck blocks seem to economically priced. Thanks

Get with an engine build and have them build you a 370 Iron Blocked motor. Factory Block with Pinned Mains, Factory Nodular Iron 3.622" Crankshaft, some GOOD 6.125" I/H-Beam Rods (I recommend Callies, or Oliver), and a good set of Boost Pistons. Add some LS9 Head Gaskets and ARP everything and you should be good. You could do any cylinder head you like, aftermarket casting will be better. If you have E85 you can do something liked 10.5:1 compression.

I was looking into the 370 but the internal specifics give me more to work with, thanks. I've heard of E85 but didnt look too much into it because i dont see it at any of the pumps in my town but I've heard of multiple benifits so ill give that a second look too. I think i can get it in the next town over. Thank You

If you can run E85 without worrying about running out of fuel 10 miles from a station, I would do it. The only downsides are a little less MPGs (your going boosted so oh well) and you have to have more fuel.

Agree'd, 160s with Triple 340s should be good for 1000rwhp, or a MagnaFuel MP4303.
