yea, pick different heads. those ls3 heaads are nice, but your bore is to small to really take advantage of them.

it boils down to the age old question, what do you want to spend?

several recommendations then...

Trick Flow 225's or 235's if your bore is big enough. cant remember if the 235's need a 4.030 or just a 4.0
PRC 237cc

I've got a 4.030 bore, but im running TSP's aftermarket LS3 heads. im hoping for some great results. they have a splayed valve angle to overcome the valve shrouding issues and better PTV clearance. If you want to stay LS3 style, id highly recommend looking at the 250cc version.

no problem. just remember this: Most aftermarket heads come standard with bronze valve guides. this is fine if you have roller rockers, otherwise you will want to opt for the powdered metal guides for stock rockers. its a $75 option.

you could always use a custom cam that is spec'd based on what your heads flowed. buy some good heads like the ones suggested above...then pay a little to have them flowed and then have the cam spec'd.

AES can do this for you and they are a sponsor.

TFS heads are the only ones I know of that come like that. AFR and others let you use stock rockers.

Theres a handful of PRCs stuff that comes with the bronze standard as well. However like you said sometimes its ok. The aftermarket ls3 heads I got are bronze, but come with the rocker stand to use factory rockers.
