Holy **** $25,000

Ls3 stroker which I believe is a 418. Get some of the mast small bore ls7 heads, fast ls7 intake and a custom cam. Say hello to 600+rwhp

What is your intended use for this? You are talking about spending a lot of green.

would it be easier and more cost efficient to buy the block and rotating assembly and assemble it myself then to get the shortblock from tsp?

Have it tested, see if it will go 4.030. I just don't like that big intake valve on a 4.005 bore. It will still make good power even if you don't go with the larger bore, its not going to be the end of the world with the smaller bore, it just works better with the larger bore IMO.

I have a .005 overbore LS2 Block with Custom Race Tec pistons. (404 ci).

My car is making 500 H.P. with a mild cam. Most of the gain comes from the 4" Stroke. You can really feel the longer stroke compared to the stock stroke LS1 engine. Im running stock LS3 heads with Comp Cam Beehive valve springs & a comp cams 238/240 duration 6... inch lift cam, Chromemoly push rods.

WOWOWOWOWOW TurboMonte. Ive never seen a budget build quite like that. I'd rather N/A but if i have $ leftover im doing that to my truck. I had my heart set on an LS2 or 3. But then i saw that now i really dont know what to do.

Default 402 vs 408

you can hit 550 hp no problem with L92 heads. just get a big intake like a fast 102 with equal throttle body. and call a prestigious cam company and explain your wants and needs and what you plan to do with the car. these heads can easily support 550 hp and better with no porting. and you dont even need expensive rockers. you can use stock rockers if desired. always remember, choose your engine size first. then get heads that can support the hp you want. after that, the camshaft. with the right combo you can push 600 hp w/ these heads if you can handle sacrificing drivability everday. i hope this helps even in the smallest bit

Im telling ya still, ls3 is the way to go hands down. The big bore opens up tons of head choices for you and will really let the large valve heads shine.
