You'll want to put a 24x reluctor onto the crank, so it'll work with the car's ECM. You'll also need to drill out a couple holes bigger and tap for knock sensors. Think you have to change the cam postion sensor too and some other things.

24x relucter is already been done and tapped the side of the block for my knock sensors and using the LS2 front cover with timing sensor with 1x timing gear.

This week I did some clean up and smoothed out the rough casting to the exhaust ports and just blended the valve seats on the intake side on the heads.

Getting Closer, got my oil pump Melling 10296, N-Motion single roller LS2 timing set, front and rear covers, pro.comp head studs and rockers and stands. All I need now is my cam, pushrods, Cometic .040 head gaskets and truions kit for my rockers to complete the motor.

Where did you get the block, and how much was it? I've got 190K on my stock LS1, and I think I'm getting a little rod knock. So, I'm thinking about starting an LS3 build as well.

From a chevy dealer, it was around 1450 for the bare block.

Really. That seems about in line from what I've been seeing for these blocks, new. Is there a reason you didnt just go with a pull out short block?
