Default Cylinder head repair??

Just wondering if anyone knows or has seen a head be repaired with some significant damage like this one:

Long story short, a piece of debris was ingested and poked a few holes in a cylinder, the shrapnel ended up 'chipping' the chamber surface as you can see. I know I've heard of cylinder head repairs, but I don't know if something like this would qualify, any takers?

YEs it can be repaired but the cost to weld, machine, new valve job is prob going to be more than what a new casting will cost.

I agree. That level of repair may be cost prohibitive to the average joe.
