ls6 head torque question please help !!!!!
ls6 head torque question please help !!!!! ok so im in the middle of putting my heads on and i torqued them to 22ft then went around and did the 90 degree on them then i kinda confused myself on where i left off because i snapped an adapter so i went to purchase a new one and i forgot where i left off when i returned !!!!! so my roommate has a camaro as well and i tested his head bolt and it was at 80-85 ft lb and i rotated my #1 bolt to 90 degrees a second time and it was around the same torque do you guys think ill be fine at that spec since its was checked by to different ways ?????
im on a budget build so it wasn't in the cards , plus i get a gm dealer discount and the parts were really cheap lol. but thanks for the quick reply !!!!!! ill just leave it at 85 ft lb
just some information for anybody who is curious to what the final torque is it's 85 ft lbs i did the other head today the rite way .......and did the initial 22ft lbs then 90 degrees which was 45 lb ft i checked that as well and of course the final 90 degrees ended at 85 lb ft !!!!!!
