How to wire alternator to work with no computer? I have a carbureted LS engine. Right now i have a 160 amp 2 prong plug alternator on it. (DR44) This is the 2005 and newer version. I need to switch to a 4 prong plug alternator in order to properly have it charge. This is the 2004 and earlier version.
I need to know how to wire the 4 prong plug so it charges properly.
Secondly, I only see 145 amp alternators online. Are there any 2004 and earlier applications with higher amperage ratings than 145?
