Default Can this crank be fixed?

I found a 4 inch crank locally, but i guess whoever installed the pin last didnt do a pretty job of it. How would anyone go about fixing this? Is there maybe a larger pin I can use, drill out the old and put in the new? Or is there a reasonable way of fixing this?

Just grind it down flush, install your balancer and if your application needs a pin just go to different spot drill and install new pin.

That doesnt sound so bad -a machine shop would be able to grind it down and keep it round i suppose? Maybe while having the journals polished?

On another forum someone suggested pulling the old pin, installing the new balancer and having it repinned in another spot should be fine. Any big reasons against that? (would leave a section of no-contact on the balancer?)

Default Repin...

I will leave that pin rite there, carefully grind the pin to the crank snout original diameter and if you need to pin your balancer install it and drill rite there on top of that pin as not to butcher the crank any more, only this time make the hole straight in and put a new pin lubricated with tread lock.
