I am looking to swap my 4.3 v6 for a 5.3 v8. I am tossing this idea around to determine what's required to make this a successful swap. For those that don't know this is an all wheel drive, turbo charged truck. I know I will have to run the matching transmission(4l60/80).
I think I need the following questions answered:

-What engine adapters are available as well as a transmission cross member? If so who has them?

-Can I use the ECM from the vehicle I obtain the motor and transmission?

-Are there any reverse headers available to allow the installation of a turbo system? If so, who has them?

-Will I have to run a larger radiator?

-will a set of electronic fans work better than running off of the water pump?
If so, why?


I have contacted Advanced adapters and Painless wires for assistance with the mounting brackets and harness.
