LS3 Top End Swap Question
LS3 Top End Swap Question I am swapping LS3 top end onto my LS2. I just got done checking the PTV clearance using modeling clay, solid lifters and no head gaskets. The intake I measured around .015 and the exhaust was around .07. So with say a .05 head gasket I am looking at 120 thou. on the exhaust and 65 thou. on intake. I would like a little more clearance on the intake. So my question is my cam is on a 111 LSA +4. I know that narrow LSA and advance will decrease PTV clearance. Can any cam experts predict what my clearance would increase to if I went to a 112, 113 or 114 LSA with +2 or 0 advance? If you need to know the exact cam specs it is 226/230 .598/.600 111 +4 What would my clearance look like if I went 230/236 on duration with same lift and 112,113,114 LSA and +2 or 0 advance.
