Nitrous LQ4 build help / estimates.
Ok so I'm shooting for 900 fwhp as a goal, but want to know if the motor could make over 1000 safely.
So far I'm planning to use the stock lq4 crank and block, arp studs and bolts, callies forged rods, and forged flat top pistons with valve reliefs. I'm going to run stock l92 heads, 1.6 ratio roller rockers port matched to a Mast single plane topped with a 1050 dominator. Ill contact compe to get the best spec'd cam I can get. Motor has to be a distributor conversion, if that matters. Dont ask why. It will be in a 3500 lb car, and I'd like to know how much I could spray it. How much SHOULD it make both n/a and sprayed, and how much should I allow it to make safely? Motor will see small weekend drag trips and cruises only, I'd like to set the limiter at 8000 rpm. Just power guesses, do I need to dowel pin my caps, etc. Thanks.
