LS3 Engine Advice

LS3 Engine Advice Newbie here.
This is a GREAT site with great info (most of it way out of my league).
I am planing on installing a crate LS3 in my 33 Hot Rod. Any info/opinions on what modifications that are recommended would be great.
I was originally leaning towards the 480 hp version, but after reading about idling issues and surging, I don't think the extra HP at the top of the curve is worth it.
The car will weigh just over 2000lbs when completed and I'd like it to be 100% streetable. Get in and go anywhere anytime. it will be a manual transmission.
The only track time will be a road course event here and there for fun.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

That car will want to fly off the ground with even a stock LS3 engine in it! Congrats on such a fun build, just put a set of minimum 1 3/4 headers on it, preferable 1 3/4 stepped to 1/7/8 or even a full 1 7/8 , and make sure the throttle body is fed cold air from somewhere and leave the rest alone since it'll have the power/weight ratio of a Hayabusa at that point anyways
