Ls1 to ls3 or l77

Ls1 to ls3 or l77 Hi there, just started looking into dropping a new motor into my ls1 powered commodore.
basically tossing up between a ls3 or l77/l92 if its worth the extra $$ to go to the ls3. Car is pretty much used at the track these days, so want to go the biggest, best performing cam i put put in either motor to suit the drags. I want the ls3, but need to some how justify the extra expense to the wife, as i dont really know what to expect from either motor once in the car, or how big a cam i can go.
