Default Block DoD ports with pushrod ..Pics ..

Im cheap and dont wanna buy a ls3 cover or drill and tap the DoD ports , so i took a push rod, cut into 8 sections , tac welded the end , prob could use jb weld if dont have a welder .. and drove them in the dod ports.. very tight fit , didnt have to hit them to hard tho .. there deffinelty snugged in and arnt moving ,, thought i share ..

nah he does some stuff i wouldnt do .. motor is already in the car .. Didnt want metal shavings .

What if one comes lose, u will have shavings then!!

It will only go down to the galley where the cam shaft is and the hole down there isn't large enough for the pushrod piece to come in contact with the cam. Up top, all it can do is run into the valley cover. Now if all 8 of them comes loose and he loses oil pressure, then he has a problem

There in there pretty snugged , i highly doubt there going anywhere , motor heats up , they should expand more .. Not that its needed ..

Good idea!

This isn't really that different from buying the appropriate size freeze-plug style tap in plug, which seems like it would also be a good fix.
