I'm the original owner of a 02' WS-6 (auto). I'm approaching 200,000 miles on stock LS!. (just bolt ons: exhaust,& lid) i was wondering if i wanted to upgrade to a newer LS motor which one will be the easiest to swap to? if i purchased a new crate engine (short block), I'd like to save money by bolting on stock LS6 intake, throttle body,accessory brackets, etc..from my old engine. i"ve read the LS6 blocks are nearly identicle but they seem a little harder to find and a good bit more expensive. does the engine option I'm wanting exist or is this a pipe dream? should i just search for a LS1 forged short block for a direct replacement?
