Default LS3 Cam specs

Hello Everyone,

I am looking to put a cam in my 2010 Camaro SS. it has the LS3 with an edelbrock E-force supercharger.

I am looking for a smooth idle cam that is an all around a good driveabolity package with no driveability issues and very high reliability. After researching and discussing with builders they came up with the following specs

215/246 603/615 120.

Im not looking for peak performance, i will never drag race this car. Just wondering what your thoughts are.

Thanks,

So, what intake centerline(ICL) would you be using with the cam, and why such a wide split?

I don't see you needing such a wide split, I'd go with less split.

I'd go with a cam like the BTR Supercharged Stage I it has the same amount of overlap(-9.5*) as the cam specs you posted, and a better split IMO.

Here's the specs:223/238 .610"/.585" 120+6

Thanks for your input. This is a street car only, so my two most important factors were driveability and reliability.

Thanks again.

IMO, with the 215 intake duration I'd drop the exhaust duration at least down into the 230-234 range. Then you could drop the LSA down to 116-117 and still keep about -9.5* overlap while having a better DCR from running a narrower LSA.
