98 trans am heads and cam

98 trans am heads and cam I'm about to buy a 98 trans am ws6. The car has slp exhaust and intake done to it it's a manual if that matters. The first mods I plan on doing is a pair of 243 heads And a 224/228 cam from Texas speed. My question is what else do I need besides the heads and cam I'm trying to keep this on a budget I don't have a problem with paying for something that I need but would rather not pile on extras, for the cam would I need new springs lifters and rods or can I use the stock ones? And of course the goal is max horsepower gains(bang for buck) All work will be done by me(first time working on cams and heads) and a couple of friends who have swapped multiple cams and heads before. Any answers tips advice and recommendations are appreciated. Thanks
You will need new springs, pushrods, head bolts, balancer bolt and gaskets for sure. I'd put in new lifters and an ls2 chain as well for piece of mind. Give us a call and we can put together a kit for you
