Post GrandSport looking for +550 H/C setup

Hello there,

a friend of mine is now looking forward to be in 550+ and we made about 500 so the target will be set on 550 to 580 if possible the car will get heads and we can change the cam just to hit our target

mods:
Vararam
Kooks 1-7/8 with off road x-pipe
Fast 102 intake
Nick Williams 102 throttle body
Brian Tooley - Springs 660
COMP 7.425 Pushrod
Cam 235/ 242 - 638/612 - 111+3


Car was about to reach 500 and now we're looking for more so I suggest adding heads so it will be good, looking for heads that may gave me every single HP I can get from that N/A LS3.


recomdation are welcomed as well.

These would get you in the 535-550 range with your cam....depending on
whether SAE or STD correction factor
A larger EPS or TICK cam could add some more peak power at the sacrifice
of drivability....but you'll most likely reach the limits of the short block once
you start tickling the 560-570 range.

got a good deal on .. TFS GenX 255 heads have been milled to 65cc (stock they are 69cc). They come assembled with 2.165 intake valves and 1.6 exhaust valves and dual valve springs (.650 max lift) with titanium retainers.


I think those will reach us to 550's but we still have 20HP missing so the target will set on 570's

good luck.... have yet to see any performance like that out of aftermarket heads on an ls3 with stock displacement. Compression bump seems to give more power then ported heads with stock compression.

Made about 500rwhp Uncorrected? STD? SAE? All pretty big differences honestly.


You will not find 50+rwhp SAE with a head swap alone. 580rwhp SAE would be a very well done 416 stroker, but not a HCI LS3.
