Yeah I didn't do that part. Mine is connected to the intake.

The results are in and it's not good:

High aluminum, chrome, and iron. As for my DIY catch can, it only has a few drops in it after ~95 miles of driving, and I've made sure to give it some WOT pulls. I'll continue to monitor the oil and have another analysis done at 2500 miles on the new oil (switched to Rotella T6 5w40). Good times...

I've put about 300 miles on the car and the dipstick still reads full and less than 1 oz. of oil in my catch can. Looks like Rotella T6 is making a considerable difference. It would also appear that whatever piston wear occurred, it has either stopped or at least not gotten worse.
