What does the barbell do? Are they all the same?

Barbell's are for weight lifting. They make you stronger....

It's an oil diverter in the back of the block. It separates the filtered oil from the oil picked up out of the pan.

I needed this too - thanks for the detail.

I am having an issue with a new build. I have 40-80 PSI of oil pressure taken at the filter, but I am not getting any oil up in the heads. I am thinking the barbell may be missing (got the engine without a rear cover) but most online searches show no oil pressure at all with the barbell missing.

Any help would be appreciated.

If they barbell was missing you wouldn't have any oil pressure. You either have an oil passage blocked somewhere, or you need to let it run longer to see the oil up there.
