it is not so much about sacrificing drivability going with the spinmonster cam as it is just going down a tad on duration to better compliment the 10.6cr. but like i said, were offsetting with a lil more intake lift .

dont skimp on trunion upgrade. may not be a daily but i see it as good valvetrain insurance.

youll spin to 6500 shift point easy. yes if block is out, arp connecting rod bolts i highly recommend as another form of insurance.

ive heard nothing but good thing about BER but this is the 1st you mention a 68 camaro. i envy you. id have a cowl hood and run the truck intake but the BER intake will do fine.

Since the Ls3 heads are affordable, I plan on getting very quality, springs, valves retainers etc.

Haha Thanks! It took me a while to find ideal condition Camaro. It had no engine, tranny, wheels, interior, but the body was super straight and some great subtle body work was done to it (frame off resto). It was also tubbed and had some really nice things done to it like the Currie 9" with trutrac, vintage air, front suspension, PDB, was done up... I just finished the interior and got the Fikse Profile 5's. Right now as we speak, a Lq9 with a LS1 manifold is being put in it with a T56 and Dynatech 1/7/8" headers. Should be done in a few more weeks. First thing after I drive it for a bit will be heads and cam so that's why I'm here asking around and I appreciate all the input.

Thank you! The color is Nissan 2006 Z color Silver Alloy K23. It's a really nice silver since it's between that smooth and metallic finish. I've seen Camaro's painted in the Mercedes Brilliant silver but it's a little too smooth and not enough metallic.

I'll send some pic later today.

I am also wondering about the benefits of L92 heads on an LS2 engine, but one that already has ported 243 heads.
The size of the intake runners on a ported L92 and larger size of the chamber are my concerns.

Not wanting to hijack this thread with my particular concerns, I have started another thread:

I have a bone stock 80K junkyard bottom end LQ9 that was never opened up.
I run stock L92's
I had Pat G spec a cam, 42lb injectors, stock LS3 intake and rails
Nick Williams 92mm TB
New Pac Springs
Holley HP Efi instead of stock ECU

I made 448HP / 396TQ thru a TH350

stock those heads make power, a lot more than I expected for my basic build.
