stroker build vs forced induction costs?
I know thier are deals out there for s/c setups on my ls2 for $6500 or less (basic kits). What reliable stroker motor could i get for lets say $7k if looking to stay N/A? Would like to roadcourse on occasion....but mainly street driven, but need reliable/good mannered setup. Looking to be around 550rwhp.

Sell your running motor.....
Then do an LS3 block 4" stroke = 416ci
That's probably $4-5K right there at least
TFS or AFR heads $2500
FAST102/102 $1400
plus lots of misc
If you sold your running LS2 for $2-3K you could probably do it for $7K on top.
Or use your current motor and do a homebrew turbo setup for less than a supercharger.

550rwhp is not gona happen with 7k for a N/A motor ( not w/o spray). I hve done a decent amount of searching and although not saying its not possible, i havent seen one pull those kind of numbers w/o trick flow, AFR heads, or a WELL thought out LS3head/cam (LS3 being the cheapest) combo. All running shy of 3k alone. You dont necessarily have to have the best of the best parts, but dont skimp either. I actually have a 418LS3 at home awaiting for me to return from the desert. A weak point in my build are my heads. I kept my 243's (budget wouldnt allow for anything more) but had them sent off to TEA for their Stage2 job. I know the numbers will be solid in the end but, it just wont top AFR or Trick Flow.
